I am married and live in Harlaxton with my family. I have been a Governor of the Denton & Harlaxton Federation Primary Schools since the Federation was formed, prior to this I was a Parent Governor at Harlaxton Primary School. I have served in several roles and I am currently Chair of Governors and the nominated Safeguarding Governor.
I retired from full time employment three years ago. I have a background in engineering and engineering management. Prior to retirement I worked in Health & Safety and Environmental Protection and have various qualifications in both disciplines. I am able to use these areas of expertise and my professional experience to benefit the schools and their Governing Body.
I believe that Governors provide an important role in supporting the Executive Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team whilst maintaining the critical friend relationship to provide an excellent learning experience for every child, enabling every child to reach their full potential.
